Both countries_ Great Britain and Lithuania have their own court systems. British court system is more difficult than Lithuanian.
The higest court in Britain is The House of Lords, the higest court in Lithuania is Constitutional court. In Great Britain there is the Court of Appeal divided in Criminal and Civil divisions, then there is a High Court. n Lithuaniai the High Court is called Supreme Court and it is higher than Appeal Court, which is divided in Criminal and Civil divisions too. A High Court in Britain is divided in Qeen's Bench Division, Chancery Division and Family Division.
The lower courts in Great Britain are Crown Court and County Court, in Lithuania such court is County Court. The lowest court in Britain is Magistrate's Court and in Lithuania Vicinyty Court. In Lithuania there are Specialised Courts- Supreme Administrative Court and County Administrative Court. One more important difference betwee Great Britain and Lithuania is that in our country judgement is made by a judge and ir Britain it is made by a jury.
On the other hand there are some similarities between those countries. In both countries an important part in court proceeding takes wittnesees, also the punishments are similar.
So there are similarities and differences between systems.
